The most interesting thing about the forthcoming Presidential elections in the United States is the candidacy of Donald Trump. Trust me, it brings a lot of comical relief and stark realisation to the issue panning out.
This is not one post to rant about western imperialism, but to highlight what people say about Karma being a b***h
Mobutu Sese Seko was the military dictator and President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (which Mobutu renamed Zaire in 1971) from 1965 to 1997.
He also served as Chairperson of the Organisation of African Unity from 1967-1968.
Once in power, Mobutu formed an authoritarian regime, amassed vast personal wealth, and attempted to purge the country of all colonial cultural influence while enjoying considerable support from the United States due to his anti-communist stance.
During the Congo Crisis, Belgian forces aided Mobutu in a coup against the nationalist government of Patrice Lumumba in 1960 to take control of the government. Lumumba was the first leader in the country to be democratically elected, but he was subsequently deposed in a coup d’état organised by Mobutu Sese Seko whop was then a Colonel and executed by a Katangese firing squad led by Julien Gat, a Belgian mercenary.
Mobutu went on to establish a single-party state in which all power was concentrated in his hands. He also became the object of a pervasive cult of personality and during his reign, Mobutu built a highly centralized state and amassed a large personal fortune through economic exploitation and corruption, leading some to call his rule a “kleptocracy.
Mobutu became notorious for corruption, nepotism, and the embezzlement of between US$4 billion and $15 billion during his reign, as well as extravagances such as Concorde-flown shopping trips to Paris.
That is the first instance I will be coming up with in which US, UK, Russia(then USSR) and western world saw Africa as an extension of their cold war.
The next example is Idi Amin, who died at an age thought to be 78, and was one of the most brutal military dictators to wield power in post-independence Africa.
His rise to power was speculated to be backed by United Kingdom.
After he seized power in 1971. He made himself president, with the rank of field marshal, and after eight years of power left Uganda a legacy of bloodthirsty killings and economic mismanagement. Parliament was dissolved; no elections were held; secret police – most of them in plain clothes – exercised absolute power of life and death; and the courts and the press were subjugated to the whims of the executive
He was more of a clown than a President.
The last instance here is Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.
He qualified as a teacher, but left to study at Fort Hare in South Africa graduating in 1951, while meeting contemporaries such as Julius Nyerere, Herbert Chitepo, Robert Sobukwe and Kenneth Kaunda. He then studied at Salisbury (1953), Gwelo (1954), and Tanzania (1955–57).
As much as he is being maligned by the West this is one man who is well schooled.
Originally graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Fort Hare in 1951, Mugabe subsequently earned six further degrees through distance learning including a Bachelor of Administration and Bachelor of Education from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Laws, Master of Science, and Master of Laws, all from the University of London External Programme.
The two Law degrees were earned while he was in prison, the Master of Science degree earned during his premiership of Zimbabwe.
Now to the issue at hand….
Anti-black sentiment is high in America and there’s this unofficial mission to take their country back.
The Republican has always being the darling bride of the American voters who are so irked that a black man was in White House for 8 years.
They will do anything to “take their country back” and punish Democrats for giving them such aberration.
That is when Donald Trump comes in.
He has the financial muscle and the war chest to prosecute the elections and win. He’s an accomplished businessman, and that was why I came up with Mugabe who we can’t fault his intelligence.
He might probably clinch the Republican ticket and once he does, I see him in White House.
He might probably enthrone a suppressing regime against the blacks and other nationalities and immigrats.. Just like Idi Amin and Mugabe.
I’ve seen a lot of commentaries on Donald Trump and none has satisfied me or aptly captures it.
Each time I watch this guy speak, talk and take on issues, I see an Idi Amin and Robert Mugabe rolled into one man.
He’s such a clown and cluessless as an Idi Amin, and intelligent but arrogant and senile as a Mugabe.
Really, Karma is such a b****h and America is about to become the butt of joke for the whole world.
America is about to have a dose of the bitter pills it had administered to many countries all over the world through its CIA funded operations.
I’m watching… I’m so loving this..
